​Health and Fitness has made such a huge impact on my life. Growing up, I was always the overweight girl. I tried and failed many times to lose the weight, but nothing ever seemed to work for me. When I was about 13 years old, I discovered the Daniel fast with my church (basically eating only fruits, vegetables, whole grains , etc.). During this 3 week fast something changed, not only physically, but mentally for me. I was noticing not only how much better I was looking and feeling, but how happy I was. After the 3 weeks were over, I knew I couldn't spiral back to my old ways. I had to make a permanent change. I realized what I put in my body was going to affect what my body gave me in return. I was so fascinated with the way being healthy made me feel. I became obsessed with eating good and exercising. 5 years later and I am still in love with it! I have had my struggles and it has not been easy, but I'm learning to love myself more and more everyday.
